Training and Technical Assistance Events

Easter Seals Project ACTION hosts free training and technical assistance events throughout the year. Experience demonstrates that improved access for people with disabilities can equal improved access for everyone. Join us in exploring all the ways in which a community can engage to improve access to transportation choices by registering for events as they are announced.

Training opportunities include:

Online Courses

Multi-week courses offer a more in-depth study to gain skills in areas such as travel training administration, paratransit management, customer service / customer skills and public involvement. This format provides the flexibility of self study with the personal touch of an instructor and peers for interaction. Certificates are issued for successful course completion.

Travel Training

This is an in-person training workshop to teach the entry level skills for travel training professionals. An online course is also available for professionals interested conducted by experienced and respected professionals in the field of travel training. Certificates are issued for successful course completion.

Webinars

Easter Seals Project ACTION extends its range and scope of FREE learning opportunities through a series of webinars.These 90 minute training sessions target topics of interest such as ADA regulations, public involvement, pedestrian access, cultural diversity and best practices providing accessible transportation – public/private, rural/urban and volunteer.
