Easter Seals Project ACTION
Easter Seals Project ACTION (Accessible Community Transportation in Our Nation) is a federally funded training and technical assistance center serving people with disabilities and the transportation and service provider communities. Since 1988, ESPA has worked to expand accessible transportation for people of all ages with disabilities.

U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy
The Office of Disability Employment Policy is a federal agency (part of the U.S. Department of Labor) that provides national leadership on disability employment policy, develops and influences the use of evidence-based disability employment policies and practices, builds partnerships, and delivers data on employment of people with disabilities.

U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration
FTA is the federal agency (part of the U.S. Department of Transportation) that helps cities and communities nationwide provide mobility to their citizens. Through its grant programs, FTA provides financial & planning assistance to help plan, build, and operate rail, bus, and paratransit systems.

AASHTO Multi-State Technical Assistance Program
MTAP provides a forum through which state-level public transportation departments can communicate with each other about federal transit regulations, grant program management, and technical issues pertaining to everyday administration of public transportation service. MTAP was developed to benefit the member states as well as their federal program counterparts and local transit operators.

American Bus Association
ABA represents motorcoach and tour companies in the United States and Canada. ABA facilitates relationships between the North American motorcoach industry and all related segments of the travel and supplier industry, creates awareness of the motorcoach industry among consumers in North America, and communicates publicly on important issues like motorcoach and highway safety.

American Public Transportation Association
APTA is an international membership organization that represents the transportation industry, specifically bus, rapid transit, commuter rail, and waterborne transit. Their site includes many valuable information resources, including links to state and local transit agencies.

National Association of Area Agencies on Aging
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging is the leading voice on aging issues for Area Agencies on Aging across the country and a champion for Title VI Native American aging programs in our nation’s capital. n4a is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of its members to: advocate on behalf of older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers; take action to ensure that communities are equipped to support and enhance the wellbeing of older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers; and serve as the focal point in their community for answers on aging.

National Center on Senior Transportation
NCST is administered by Easter Seals Inc., in partnership with the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. The NCST mission is to increase transportation options for older adults and enhance their ability to live more independently within their communities throughout the United States. Services provided by NCST include the development, collection and distribution of information and resources for use by communities, transportation providers, state and local governments, aging and human service providers, and older adults and their caregivers.

National Rural Transit Assistance Program
The National Rural Transit Assistance Program is an FTA-funded training and technical assistance program for rural and tribal transit operators in communities with populations of 50,000 and under. National RTAP operates on both the state and national levels to support community transit by developing training materials and providing technical assistance on topics of national scope, such as basic skills for drivers, dispatchers, managers and boards.

National Transit Institute
The National Transit Institute at Rutgers University was established in 1992 to conduct training and educational programs related to public transportation. Funded by the Federal Transit Administration, NTI’s mission is to provide training, education, and clearinghouse services in support of public transportation and quality of life in the United States. NTI also hosts a clearinghouse for information and assistance

Taxicab and Limousine Paratransit Association
TLPA is a non-profit trade association of and for the private passenger transportation industry including taxicab companies, executive sedan and limousine services, airport shuttle fleets, non-emergency medical transportation companies, and paratransit services. TLPA offers its members a network of programs, services and support that will enhance their ability to effectively and profitably serve local public transportation needs.

Transportation Research Board
The Transportation Research Board provides leadership in transportation innovation and progress through research and information exchange. TRB, a division of the National Research Council administered by the National Academy of Sciences, provides: opportunities for information exchange on current transportation research and practice; management of cooperative research and other research programs; analyses of national transportation policy issues and guidance on federal and other research programs; and publications and access to research information from around the world.

United We Ride
United We Ride is an interagency Federal national initiative that supports States and their localities in developing coordinated human service delivery systems. In addition to State coordination grants, United We Ride provides State and local agencies a transportation-coordination and planning self-assessment tool, help along the way, technical assistance, and other resources to help their communities succeed.
