Planning accessible transportation for people with disabilities in emergency situations can be complex and challenging. Communities must consider many aspects regarding both how to conduct the planning—including outreach, involving people with disabilities in the process, and data collection—as well as topics to discuss—such as evacuation procedures and accessible shelter locations. In this session, presenters will discuss these challenges and the role of accessible transportation in emergency preparedness planning.
